Our family felt incredibly fortunate to spend just under three weeks travelling through southern Thailand over the holiday season. Coming from Canada, we were craving sunshine, warm hospitality, and a landscape completely new to us.
Thailand offers postcard-perfect beaches, swaying palm trees, and turquoise water that rivals the Caribbean — but with a character and energy all its own.
The Thai people are simply wonderful — kind, gracious, and welcoming.
Yes, there are many tourists (especially over the holidays), and we were surprised at times by how some visitors behaved — occasionally unaware or dismissive of local culture and those around them. But don’t let that deter you. It’s far from a deal-breaker.
We’re excited to share our itinerary and all the incredible stops along the way.
